Remote Learning Day with Two Hour Delayed Start

Posted: Feb 25, 2021

Due to winter weather and poor travel conditions, Denver Public Schools will have a 100% remote-learning live instruction (synchronous learning) day for all students on Thursday, Feb. 25. There will be a two-hour delay so teachers can prepare their instruction.

Also, all Early Childhood Education classes are canceled. There will also be no curbside meal pickup and no bus meal delivery tomorrow.

Given the short notice for the shift to remote learning for tomorrow, there will be a two-hour delay to the start of school. For Denison, this means the remote school day will start at 11:00 and end at 3:30.  Specials classes will be at the regularly scheduled times and Upper Elementary will hold the scheduled virtual assembly tomorrow afternoon.

Students who have access to their DPS-issued Chromebook or their own personal device are asked to log on for a “normal” remote day. Students who do NOT have access to their Chromebook and aren’t able to log on will have their attendance excused.

Thank you for your understanding and stay warm!
