Denison Montessori Vision and Mission

Vision Statement

We believe in empowering every child to grow into their fullest potential—confident, caring, and ready to make a positive impact in their community and the world. We guide all students to respect others, themselves, and the environment throughout their lives.

Mission Statement

Using Montessori practices that are rooted in authentic Montessori philosophy, we are committed to the development of the whole child.  Our school supports the child’s lifelong growth—physically, intellectually, academically, socially, and emotionally. We:

• Nurture children’s growth by fostering their unique interests, strengths, and dreams.
• Create a safe and inclusive space where all children feel seen, heard, and celebrated.
• Partner with families and our community to support every child’s learning journey.
• Encourage curiosity, kindness, and open minds that embrace differences.
• Prepare children with the courage, confidence, and independence to contribute as global citizens to fulfill their cosmic task.

Denison Montessori serves approximately 375 young learners from three years old through sixth grade. Throughout their time at Denison Montessori, our students progress through three programs:

• PRIMARY: three-year-olds through Kindergarten (half-day for three-year-olds only)
• LOWER ELEMENTARY: first through third grades
• UPPER ELEMENTARY: fourth through sixth grades

All our homeroom teachers for Primary, Lower Elementary, and Upper Elementary have completed educational and licensing requirements for the state of Colorado as well as a comprehensive Montessori training program specific to the age group that they serve.

Our diverse student body is made up of:

• 70% Students of Color
• 13% English Language Learners
• 55% Free and Reduced Lunch Students

Early Release Wednesdays: 1st & 3rd Wednesdays of each month

Primary dismissal: 12:45

Elementary Dismissal – Lower and Upper: 1:00
