Message from the Principal

Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! I am ready to tackle a new school year and excited that we will have our students returning in person.  I am delighted to have the opportunity to work with our creative students, hard-working staff, and supportive families. I know that through continued collaboration, hard work and support for one another we will be the best public Montessori school in the state of Colorado.

A little bit about myself: I joined Denver Public Schools in 2004 as a speech-language pathologist and co-taught in a 4th grade classroom.  I remained in the position for ten years before completing the Ritchie Program for School Leaders through the University of Denver.  I have served as a school leader since 2014 and am excited to start my second year as principal.  I believe that my role is to support our students, teachers, and families so we can all continue to learn and grow.

When I am not at school I enjoy spending time with my husband, Ted, our two children, Ben and Lulu, and our dog, Rosie. Among my passions are reading, practicing yoga, watching my daughter play soccer, discussing movies with my son, walking my dogs, cooking and baking, traveling and cheering for the Broncos, Avalanche, Nuggets, Rapids and the Rockies.

I feel honored to be the principal at Denison Montessori. I look forward to all of the successes and learning we will achieve together.  The door to my office is always open.  Please introduce yourself during drop off or pick-up and hopefully we can have more family members in the building later this year.  Please send an email or call if I can be of assistance in any way.
