The Denison Suzuki Strings Program is about to enter its third decade of serving children in the Denver Public Schools. Formerly directed by Roxanna Trevino, the Denison Strings program currently enrolls 250 economically and racially diverse students. The program has expanded to include 2 upper elementary orchestras in addition to the K-3 Suzuki Violin Instruction. Our instruction is heavily influenced by the principals of Shinichi Suzuki, a violin pedagogue who developed a method of teaching based on teaching students the violin as they learned to speak; through imitation, and reading introduced as the student has developed sound technique.

Any interested Denison student (Kindergarten through 6th grade) is invited to enroll in the Denison Suzuki Strings program.  Small group lessons are given two times per week within the structure of the school curriculum.
